Most Indonesian workplaces are not lactation-friendly. This study aims to evaluate the design and effectiveness of lactation rooms in enhancing work-life balance (WLB) for female employees. Ergonomics plays a crucial role in creating a comfortable and efficient space for working mothers who lactate, by ensuring that the space is suitably furnished, has privacy and good accessibility. This qualitative research will utilize the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) approach. The primary focus is on mothers returning to work after maternity leave. The findings indicate that improvements should include the provision of adjustable work tables and chairs suited for breast pumping. The finding of the study is important as a reference to improve the working posture of female employee in their dual role as mothers and workers, highlighting the importance of female employee satisfaction and retention, and demonstrating the company's commitment to gender-inclusive policies that respect both personal and professional needs.
