This article discusses the application of the 12 principles of animation in a 2D animated film titled 'Pedanda Baka'. The urgency of this research lies in the development of 2D animation techniques, where the use of the 12 principles of animation is the key to improving animation quality. This research on creating animated works was carried out through three basic stages of creation, namely pre-production, production, and post-production, focusing on consistency, accuracy, and development of the application of the 12 principles of animation. The results of this qualitative research are revealed descriptively. The results show that the use of the 12 principles of animation in the 2D animated film Pedanda Baka can improve animation quality and make the animated characters look more lively.
