Abstract

The creation of the Cupak Grantang Animation emerged from the idea of ​​an animation work that teaches the values ​​of good character in everyday life, as found in the Cupak Gerantang story. Cupak's character reflects all the bad traits in humans, greed, indifference, and impolite. whereas Grantang is someone who is humble, honest, has good manners, and what he says is polite. The relationship between the two is intended to describe two traits in humans, good and bad, which are constantly in conflict. By making this animation, it is expected to be able to educate elementary school students. The creation of the Cupak Grantang Animation will use pre-production, production and post-production creation methods. This method is usually implemented in making good and structured animated films. With this method, it is hoped that the cupak grantang animation will provide an interesting educational medium and be able to provide an understanding to elementary school students about the importance of having good character and avoiding bad characters, such as the animated cupak grantang character.
