Abstract

Baturiti Village is a highland area with an elevation of 700 - 900 meters above sea level. Located in Baturiti Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency, Bali, this area is known for its high rainfall and an average temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius. The activities of the local community, especially in the educational sector for children, have shown adaptation to the natural conditions of the Baturiti area. Children's knowledge of Baturiti's natural resources can be leveraged for creative and innovative learning opportunities, such as the potential from agricultural products, utilization of fertile land, high rainfall, and natural materials that can be used as primary resources in creating educational facilities for children. On this occasion, IDB Bali is collaborating with the Baturiti Village office and four educational institutions consisting of three elementary schools (SD) and one junior high school (SMP). One of the key focuses is to build a collaborative program with SMPN 1 Baturiti to provide ideas for interior redesign and development of learning facilities for children, based on the creative utilization of Baturiti Village's natural potential. The collaboration with SMPN 1 Baturiti has resulted in interior design students producing the latest existing school layout drawings, redesign layout drawings, redesigned room plans, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) details, room details, 3D visuals, and animation videos. The selection of design development ideas is based on the creative student curriculum, namely the P5 (Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Program). The outcomes of this collaboration are expected to serve as a reference and inspiration for redesigning according to interior and ergonomic standards, and the needs of users.
